A man was arrested on theft charges over the weekend.

On Saturday, Indiana State Police Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 69 near the 79-mile marker after a man was driving 87 mph in a 70 mph zone.

During the stop, troopers discovered that the driver, Kingston Allen Jordan of Pachuta, Mississippi was under the influence of marijuana and methamphetamine. Jordan was also in possession of a stolen firearm from Lamar County, Mississippi.

Johnson was arrested and transported to the Daviess County Jail where he was charged with a Level 6 Felony Count of Theft of a Firearm, a Level 6 Felony Count of Maintaining a common nuisance, a Class B Misdemeanor count of possession of Marijuana, and a Class C Misdemeanor Count of Operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
