Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is signing a bill into law that allows people to carry a handgun without a permit.  The bill was passed by legislators two weeks ago.  Under the new law, possession of a handgun is still illegal for those already banned from owning firearms.  Indiana State Police is still encouraging Hoosiers to apply for and maintain firearms permit to help law enforcement.
