(Santa Claus, IN) It’s been nearly one month since Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari announced the retirement of a park staple dating back over three decades. A statement released by park officials on June 14, 2023, read, “After 33 years and millions of happy memories, Raging Rapids has officially retired. We know this attraction means a lot to our guests, and it does to us too. While this may feel like an ending, it’s just the beginning. We intend to return the sound of laughter to Boulder Canyon as soon as we possibly can.”

The brunt of the saddening news was eased with an enticing cliffhanger and Holiday World has kept the excitement building with another peek at what park visitors can expect in the 2024 season. Another recently published post couldn’t quite “spill all of the gravy just yet,” but offered “a splash” of a glimpse into construction currently underway on site of the project dubbed “The Gravy Boat”.

A look at a fence inside the Thanksgiving section, North of the Mayflower and East of the Voyage, further thickened the plot of what our local theme park has cooking up. Leah Koch continued with confirmation of a new roller coaster coming to Holiday World in 2024. We’ll update this story with official details once they’re available.
