The Sisters of St. Benedict are offering a workshop called “Stringing Beads of Blessing”.
The Sisters of St. Benedict will be offering “Stringing Beads of Blessing,” a Blessing Beads workshop, on Saturday, November 11th from 10 AM until 1 PM EST in the St. Scholastica Room at Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand.
Blessing beads are looped strands of beads that celebrate the fortunate events, wonderful people, and beautiful things in your life. The “Stringing Beads of Blessing” workshop will be led by Sharon Bittner, who is an artist, an Oblate of the Sisters of St. Benedict, and a former member of their religious community.
The workshop will include song, meditation, a time of sharing around the topic of “What is a blessing?”, a time to gather beads to represent your own individual blessings, a time to prayerfully string your beads, and a time devoted to memory and gratitude. A lunch will also be available for attendees.
Those interested in participating in the “Stringing Beads of Blessing” workshop can register online by visiting thedome.org/programs. The cost to participate is $30, which includes all materials and lunch.
