The Dubois Branch Library has announced its November 2023 list of events.
- Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 2 – 8 p.m. Open House for Anita Murphy’s retirement.
- Fridays in Nov. at 9 a.m. Chair Yoga—Yoga for older adults and those with mobility issues. Must register by calling the library. No Yoga on Nov 24.
- Tuesdays in Nov. from 3:15-4:30 p.m. Activity Corner for ages 10 – 18. Enjoy a snack, craft, and games with other students after school.
- Wednesdays in Nov. at 9 a.m. Geri Fit—lightweight training for seniors. Must register by calling the library.
- Monday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. Friends of the Dubois Branch Library meeting. All are welcome.
- Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 5:30 p.m. Adult Craft: Fall Wine Bottle Decoration. Must be 18+. Registration required.
- Thursday, Nov 9 at 4:30 p.m. Kids’ Craft: Dotted Pumpkin Painting. For ages 5 and older. Must pre-register. Children under 8 must have an adult with them.
- Wednesday, Nov 15 at 1 p.m. Adult Canvas Painting: Birch Trees. Ages 15 and older. Must pre-register.
- Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 5:30 p.m. Kids’ Canvas Painting: Turkey. For ages 7 and up. Must pre-register. Children under 8 must have an adult with them.
- Thursday, Nov.16 at 11:00 a.m. Little Explorers. For ages 2 to 6 with an adult (please note the change in day!) Bring your little explorer to the library for crafts, activities, stories, and more! No registration is required.
- Friday, Nov. 17 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Lego Club. For ages 8 to 12. Come over to the library after school to design and build your own unique Lego creations. No registration is required.
- Saturday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. Reindeer Meet and Greet. Dress in your holiday clothes, bring your camera, and take a picture with a live reindeer. Silly Safari will be bringing a reindeer and other fun friends for you to get up close to in our Community Room.
- Monday, Oct 27 at 6:30 p.m. End of the Month Book Club discussing “Her Heart’s Desire” by Shelley Shepard Gray. Be a part of this special book club discussion before the author’s visit in Dec. Pick up a copy of the book at the front desk while supplies last.
- Thursday, Nov. 30 at 11:00 a.m. Little Explorers. For ages 2 to 6 with an adult (please note the change in day!) Bring your little explorer to the library for crafts, activities, stories, and more! No registration is required.
The library would also like to note they will close early on Wednesday, November 22nd at 6 PM; and they will be closed on Saturday, Nov 11th for Veterans Day and on Thursday, November 23rd, and Friday, November 24th for Thanksgiving.
