The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the swearing-in of Zach Weisheit as their newest deputy. A 2018 graduate of Jasper High School, Zach was an active member of the football team, wrestling team, and Boy Scouts. Driven by a desire to serve his community, Zach joined the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office as a Jail Officer in 2021.

Reflecting on his time in the jail division, Zach shared, “I will miss working with the people I worked alongside every shift.” His dedication and teamwork have made a positive impact on his colleagues and the facility. Sheriff Kleinhelter praised Zach, stating, “Zach has been a great asset in the jail, always willing to lend a hand without complaint.”

Zach is also a dedicated member of the Ireland Fire Department, further demonstrating his commitment to public service. As he transitions into his new role as a deputy, Zach expressed his excitement to “learn a different role within our agency and serve the community in a different way.”

Sheriff Kleinhelter extends his heartfelt congratulations to Zach on this significant achievement. They are confident that Zach’s dedication, enthusiasm, and community spirit will continue to make a positive impact in his new role.

Deputy Weisheit will begin his training at the Southwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy on July 22.
