Bernice L. Dearing, age 90, of Huntingburg, passed away at 11:45 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at the Northwood Good Samaritan Center in Jasper.

She was born August 8, 1925 in Mariah Hill, Indiana, to Hugo and Minnie (Bredhold) Lubbehusen. She married James R. Dearing on August 30, 1947, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. Mrs. Dearing retired from Ducraft, a division of Styline. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post #2366 Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Catholic Church; and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jim Dearing, who died January 5, 2007; one brother, Walter Lubbehusen; and two sisters, Viola Wetzel and Esther Arnold.

Bernice is survived by:

One son and daughter-in-law,
Dennis “Pat” (Carolyn) Dearing of Huntingburg, Ind.;
One daughter and son-in-law,
Pam (Joe) McLemore of Huntingburg, Ind.;
by (4) grandchildren, (5) great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass for Bernice L. Dearing which will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Monday, January 18, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Private family visitation will be held at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 9:00-10:30 a.m., Monday, prior to the funeral.
