A property damage accident that took place in the parking lot of the southside McDonald’s in Jasper Sunday evening ended with the arrest of a Dubois man on a number of charges including criminal mischief.

Just before 10 pm last night officers with the Jasper Police Department responded to the southside restaurant where they say a car driven by 18-year old Jace McKinney of Dubois had struck a stop sign.

An investigation by police found that McKinney had been driving around the parking lot at a high rate of speed.

Police charged McKinney with Criminal Mischief and Reckless Driving.  He was also cited by police for a learners permit violation.

He was taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
