The annual Lincoln Day Luncheon sponsored by the Dubois County Republican Party is set for Saturday March 5th at KlubHaus 61 in Jasper.
The Lincoln Day Luncheon is a traditional party event celebrating the birth of the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, and the formation of the national Republican Party.
The program will include patriotic music and introductions of candidates for the 2016 county, State and Federal elections.
Republican officeholders and party officials from surrounding counties are expected to attend.
Among those committed to attend are: 8th District Congressman, Dr. Larry Bucshon; Secretary of State, Connie Lawson; State Auditor, Suzanne Crouch; State Treasurer, Kelly Mitchell; District 48 State Senator Mark Messmer; District 63 State Representative Mike Braun as well as District 74 State Representative Lloyd Arnold.
Also expected to attend are Dubois County GOP officeholders; candidates for US Senate, Lt. Governor candidate Eric Holcomb will serve as the guest speaker, plus candidates for Attorney General, Superintendent of Public Instruction; Republican candidates for Dubois County offices; and, GOP party officers from surrounding counties, the district and the state are also expected to be on hand .
The doors will open at 11 am with the meal and program beginning at noon.
