Officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation are planning an upcoming road closure for State Road 257 south of Washington.

Beginning March 7th at 7 am, crews with INDOT will perform a pipe replacement project where workers will be replacing culvert pipes at three different locations. The road will be closed from US 50 to the Daviess County line during the project. INDOT says work is expected to be finished by Wednesday, March 9th at 3 pm depending upon weather conditions.

During the project, local traffic will have access to the point of closure. All other motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route using the nearest state roads.

Once again, INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews. For construction updates and traffic alerts, follow INDOT on Facebook at facebook.com/INDOTVincennesDistrict and on Twitter at twitter.com/INDOTSouthwest, or access INDOT’s TrafficWise website at indot.carsprogram.org.
