Bob Edward Hill, age 70, of Lake Helmerich Village near Holland, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, March 1, 2016.

Bob Hill Obituary Photo584            Bob was born on May 11, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois to Bert and Lillian (Ryan) Hill.  He was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.  After High School, Bob enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War as a sergeant in the Anglico division.  Upon his honorable discharge from the Marines, Bob attended and graduated from the Indiana University School of Business.  He excelled in a career of sales which allowed him the freedom to spend several wonderful years in Greers Ferry, Arkansas with his father assisting in his fishing guide business.  In later years he returned to Chicago, Illinois and worked for Fidelitone Incorporated where he retired.  Bob was an avid sports lover especially when it came to Indiana University basketball, Cubs baseball, and the Chicago Bears.  His greatest pleasure and hobby was fishing with his beloved wife Donna.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bert Hill, Jr.; and his wife of over 30 years, Donna (Carnes) Hill.  Survivors include his daughter, Tamara (Steven) Beck of Bonita Springs, Florida; his step daughter, Missy (Steve) Cain of Alexandria, Kentucky; his nephew, Bert (Allison) Hill of Minnesota; and many great nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

As following Bob’s request, there will be no formal funeral services or visitation.  Arrangements for disposition have been entrusted to Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.  Condolences may be shared with the family online at: www.nassandson.com.
