Charles R. Knebel, age 65, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 12:03 p.m. on Monday (March 28, 2016) at the home of his sister.

Charles was born on May 25, 1950 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Linus and Edna (Kunkler) Knebel.

Charles was a Vietnam Veteran.

He was a self-employed construction worker for many years and owned and operated Knebel’s Lawn Service.

Charles was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and V.F.W. Post #673.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Preceding him in death is one brother, Donald Knebel, and one nephew, Kevin Knebel.

Funeral services for Charles R. Knebel will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday (March 31, 2016) at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum. V.F.W. Post #673 will conduct military gravesite rites.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (March 30, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church on Thursday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, American Cancer Society Research, and Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
