Carla Michelle “Missy” Eckert, age 50, of Huntingburg, passed away at 4:43 a.m., on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at The Waters of Huntingburg nursing center in Huntingburg.

Carla Eckert Obituary photo612She was born March 29, 1966, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Eddie Dale and Mary Lou (Steffen) Eckert.  Missy was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Birdseye.  The family considered Missy to be a special angel sent to them from God above; and they cherished every moment they were able to love and care for her.  She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Dale Eckert, who died October 17, 2013.

She is survived by:

Her mother,

Mary Lou Eckert of Huntingburg, Ind.;

Three brothers,

Todd Eckert of Shoals, Ind.,

Brian (fiancé, Lisa Wilkey) Eckert of Washington, Ind.,

Bret (wife, Erica) Eckert of Birdseye, Ind.;

Her grandmother,

Pauline Harris of Huntingburg, Ind.;

by (2) nieces, (3) nephews, and (1) great niece.

Funeral services for Carla “Missy” Eckert will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.D.T., onSunday, April 3, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mentor Cemetery near Birdseye.  Reverend Bret Eckert will officiate at the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Sunday, the day of the funeral.  Memorial contributions can be made to the family or to the First Pentecostal Church of Birdseye.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com.
