JASPER STREET CLOSING

Meanwhile the Jasper Street Department says they will be closing portions of Maute Street during the course of the next couple of weeks with construction beginning each day at 8 am and re-opening around 4 pm.

Now the department says that in the event of inclement weather the time frame may be expanded. They say the closures are due to the replacement of storm sewers and sidewalks between Wagner and Heusler  Streets.

Residents who use or travel these routes are asked or please remove their vehicles from this area during construction hours.

JASPER HYDRANT FLUSHING

Just a reminder the Jasper Municipal Water Department is continuing the department’s spring hydrant flushing program.

The department says hydrants around the city will be flushed between the hours of 7 am till 4 pm Monday through Friday until completed withing the next several weeks.

Of course the water is safe for human and pet consumption. Please use discretion when doing laundry and if you experience discolored water, run the cold water tap until it clears. Should you have questions about the flushing please call the Jasper Municipal Water Department at 812-482-5252.

 

ANOTHER ROAD CLOSURE

The Dubois County Highway Department says beginning today Schnellville Road and County Road 1025 East will be closed from 8 am till 3 pm for a Culvert replacement.

Once again, officials with the Dubois County Highway Department say beginning tomorrow morning at 8 am Schnellville Road and County Road 1025 East will be closed for a culvert replacement.

The road is expected to re-open around 3 pm. Only local traffic will be permitted along this stretch of road and of course all work is weather permitting.
