An elderly Jasper woman was taken into custody after she was accused of breaking into her place of employment over the weekend.

Shortly before 7:30 Sunday morning Jasper Police were called to the V.F.W. Post 673 located along the 1900 Block of Newton Street where police were told of a burglary that had taken place sometime overnight.

Employees at the post discovered cash drawers had been removed from a locked area and about $750 had been stolen.
