On Tuesday the Indiana Department of Education announced the 2014-2015 Four Star schools of Indiana.

In the Greater Jasper School District, Jasper High School and Ireland made the grade.

For Holy Trinity Schools, Precious Blood School was named a 4 star school.

All the schools in the Southeast school district were named 4 star schools, those schools being Forest Park Jr/Sr High School, Cedar Crest Intermediate School, Ferdinand Elementary and Pine Ridge Elementary Schools.

Holland Elementary School represented the southwest school district.

Lincoln Trail Elementary, Nancy Hanks Elementary School, and Heritage Hill Middle School also made the list from the North Spencer school district.

According to the Indiana Department of Education a school must be in the top 25 percent of schools in 2 ISTEP-based categories to qualify for the recognition as well as obtaining the highest appointment in the state’s accountability system and be accredited by the Indiana Department of Education.

287 schools through Indiana received this acknowledgment of being a 4 star school.
