Today, you can take part in this initiative between the hours of noon and 5 pm at the Superior Ag CountryMark fueling stations. The nearest ones are in Huntingburg, Princeton, and Evansville.
In a news release, CountryMark Vice President of Marketing Jon Lantz says, “This is our opportunity to support our local National Guard troops and their families. We are grateful for what these soldiers do to protect our country. Working together with our communities to support their families is just a great experience for everyone involved.”
CountryMark will donate 50 cents for every gallon of fuel pumped to local National Guard Family Readiness Groups.
Superior Ag CountryMark fuel stations will be paired with members from Jasper and Evansville National Guard Family Readiness Groups. Also at each Fueling Freedom site, customers and guests will be invited to register to win a $150 gift card.
CountryMark initiated the Fueling Freedom fundraiser seven years ago. In 2015, CountryMark raised $54,000 for local National Guard Family Readiness Groups.
Many of the Family Readiness Groups use their funds for summer picnics for soldiers and their families, Christmas parties, after-school programs and packages to local soldiers who have been deployed.
