Irma Jean Hasenour, age 75, of rural Huntingburg, passed away at 6:02 p.m., on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at her residence.

Irma Hasenour two Obituary Photo696_edited-1She was born March 6, 1941, in Schnellville, Indiana to Albert and Emma (Schnell) Welp.  She married Allen Edward Hasenour on May 19, 1962, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville.  Allen and Irma were lifelong farmers and started Hasenour Organics in 2003.  Irma loved spending time with her children, grandkids and great grandkids.  She enjoyed crocheting, baking and loved being a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the St. Henry Christian Mothers.  Irma was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Edward Hasenour, who passed away March 20, 2005; one sister, Betty Neuhoff; three grandchildren, Brad Grass, Nicole Grass and Curtis Hasenour; and one great grandchild, Alyse Grass.

She is survived by:

   Two daughters and two sons-in-law,

Sheila (Jim) Grass of Lamar, Ind.,

Linda (Duane) Gehlhausen of Huntingburg, Ind.;

   Three sons and one daughter-in-law,

Chris (Angie) Hasenour of Huntingburg, Ind.,

Tim Hasenour of Huntingburg, Ind.,

David Hasenour of Ferdinand, Ind.;

   Three sisters and two brothers-in-law,

Mary Catherine Persohn of Jasper, Ind.,

Doris (Bill) Birk of Brownsburg, Ind.,

LaVerne (Jim) Uebelhor of Ferdinand, Ind.;

   One brother and one sister-in-law,

Marvin (Mary Fae) Welp of Schnellville, Ind.;

   by (16) grandchildren and (5) great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Irma Jean Hasenour will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., onWednesday, June 29, 2016, at the St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry with burial to follow at the St. Henry Cemetery.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Jack Durcholz.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday; and also from 8:00-9:30 a.m., Wednesday morning, at the funeral home.
