Norbert L. Mehringer, age 81 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 11:26 a.m. on Thursday (June 2, 2016) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, IN.

Norbert MehringerNorb was born in Ireland, Indiana on June 26, 1934 to Karl and Hilda (Hohler) Mehringer. He married Ruth Burger on June 16, 1959 in Precious Blood Catholic Church.

Norb was a U. S. Army Veteran.

He retired from Kimball International after 15 plus years of service and worked for Holiday Liquors for many years.

He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, IN., and former Grand Knight with the Jasper Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed watching IU Basketball, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Syracuse Orange, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was a son-in -law, Gary Kilian, and one sister, Rosemarye Elmore

Funeral services for Norbert L. Mehringer will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday (June 7, 2016) at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. The Jasper VFW will perform military graveside rites.

Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday (June 6, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, IN.
