The Dubois County Visitors Center & Tourism Commission is now accepting applications for grants from the Tourism Promotion Fund.

Grant applications are open to not-for-profit, tourism-related organizations, festivals, events, attractions and others which will increase visitor attendance from outside the immediate area.

Approved applications for projects or events that have previously been funded may receive new grant money if additional tourism benefit can be proven.

Now special consideration will be given to organizations establishing first-time events. To request an application, call the Dubois County Visitors Center at 812-482-9115.

Completed applications must be received no later than July 15th, 2016 to be considered for funding.

The Dubois County Visitors Center & Tourism Commission promotes the growth and development of the convention, visitor, and tourism industry in the county and is the one community organization empowered to do so.

Tourism contributes an estimated $64 million annually to the Dubois County economy.
