The 2016 Jasper Miss Strassenfest Contest will be held next Saturday, July 30th beginning at 7 pm in conjunction with the Jr. Miss Strassenfest Pageant and the Little Miss and Little Mister Strassenfest Pageants at Redemption Christian Church in Jasper.
This new venue will provide over 1,000 seats for the public to attend. Tickets will be available at the door for $5.
This year, five contestants will be vying for the title of Miss Strassenfest.
The five contestants include:
- Brooke Epple the daughter of Kimberly and Kenneth Epple. She attends Indiana University Southeast majoring in neonatal nursing.
- Lina Mowat the daughter of Carolyn and Ron Mowat. She attends Indiana University majoring in dietetics with minors in Spanish and psychology.
- Haley Sample the daughter of Tobi and Stephen Sample. She attends Indiana University majoring in marketing and apparel merchandising.
- Vanessa Hickman is the daughter of Becky Hickman and Steve Hickman. She attends the University of Indianapolis majoring in business management and administration with a minor in communications.
- and Landyn Schneider the daughter of Stacy Welp and the late Robert Schneider. She attends Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis majoring in nursing.
Scholarships will be awarded to the Miss and first runner-up in the amounts of $1000 and $500, respectively. A second runner-up, Miss Congeniality, and Miss Photogenic will also be awarded.
