No one was injured in a two vehicle accident at the intersection of 8th and Jackson Streets in Jasper Thursday afternoon. Just before 2 pm yesterday Jasper Police were called to the intersection of  8th and Newton Streets where police say a southbound SUV driven by 45-year old Jackie Hochstetler of Washington was stopped at the intersection of 8th and Newton and was waiting to make a left hand turn onto 8th Street. A pickup driven by 30 year old David Leidgen of Jasper was northbound in the 700 block of Newton.  Police say a northbound vehicle driven by an unknown individual stopped and motioned Hochstetler to proceed forward and go left onto 8th. Hochstetler failed to see Leidgen and turned left into his path and their vehicles collided in the intersection. Damage to Hochstetler’s SUV was estimated at 5-thousand dollars while Leidgen’s pickup sustained 2-thousand dollars damage. No one was injured and no charges were filed.
