Helen A. Renner, age 98 of Ireland, Indiana, passed away at 12:25 a.m. on Saturday (October 15, 2016) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.
Helen was born in Ireland, Indiana on July 12, 1918 to William and Rosa (Goeppner) Schmitt. She married Martin Renner on June 1, 1937 in Our Lady of the Springs Church in French Lick, Indiana. He preceded her in death on August 23, 1988.
Helen was a homemaker, and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, their St. Anne’s Society, and the Jasper Circle of the Daughters of Isabella.
She enjoyed telling stories, working with flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.

Preceding her in death were three sisters; Geneva Jaent, Lorena Hurst, and Alice Dittleburger, two brothers; Silas Schmitt who died in infancy and Raphael Schmitt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (October 18, 2016) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m service time on Tuesday (October 18, 2016) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana.
