Judith Ruth Dougherty, 81, of Santa Claus, In passed away December 3, 2016. Born March 15, 1935 in Washington, IN, she was the daughter of the late J. Clinton and L. Ruth (Feagans) Dougherty.
She was a 1953 Graduate of Plainville High School. Judith was an avid I.U Basketball fan; she enjoyed reading, feeding birds, and sending cards to relatives and friends. She was also a 58 year member of The Order of The Eastern Star. She was a member of Plainville United Methodist Church, where she held many offices.
She is survived by a Sister, Wilma Louise “Billie” Sparger; two Nieces, Susan (Larry) Lumpkins and Marilyn Moczgemba; a Nephew, Alan (Theresa Sparger III; seven Great – Nieces and Nephews, and Special Friends, Mike and Gaye Rickenbaugh & Family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016, in Gill Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Plainville Cemetery.
