Local Source March 1–Mentors for Youth announced today that Ellen Corn, a Southridge High School graduate, will serve as the organization’s Executive Director.  Corn brings both knowledge and experience having spent the last 4 years within the non-profit sector, having spent the last four years working with another non-profit organization in the Dubois County area.

Corn graduated from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY, in 2012 with Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration.  She has also obtained a MBA in management from Western Governors University in 2016.  She has been an active member within the community, volunteering for different committees in and around the surrounding counties.

Corn began her new role on February 27th, 2017.

Mentors for Youth is dedicated to facilitating mutually beneficial relationships between youth and volunteers for the purpose of enhancing individual lives and the community. The organization has been serving Dubois County for 30 years, matching children with responsible adults for one on one mentoring.
