Virlee C. Burger, 88 of Ferdinand died Monday March 13th at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand. She was born in Ferdinand to John & Isabelle (Altmeyer) Schreiner. She married Bob Burger Sr. on April 20, 1948 in Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church.

Virlee was a lifelong member of Saint Ferdinand Parish and it’s Saint Ann’s Sodality.   She retired as a school custodian. She enjoyed playing cards, games, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are her husband Bob Burger Sr., One son Terry (Marla) Burger, Connie (Tom) Lueken, and Donna Trafton all of Ferdinand. daughter-in-law, Ruth Burger of Ferdinand. Seven grandchildren and Fourteen great-grandchildren, and One great-great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by a son, Bob Burger Jr., a son-in-law, Gary Trafton, great- grandson, Abram Burger, brother, Hubert Weyerbacher.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday March 17th in Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 to 8:00  PM Thursday and after 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM Friday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Online condolences may be made at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
