Officials with the Dubois County Emergency Management Agency say they are performing a preliminary Damage Assessment to determine the degree of damage which occurred to local homes and dwellings as a result of heavy rains that took place this past weekend.

In a release Dubois County EMA Director Tammy Humbert says if your home suffered significant water damage as a result of those storms, please contact 211 beginning Tuesday from the hours of 9 AM through 6:00 PM EDT to report your damage.

Humbert says information being gathered will be used to identify local areas in need, and will help determine whether assistance might become available from the State or Federal government.
