Huntingburg, Ind. – Dumpsters for flood debris are available at City of Huntingburg’s Street Department, located at 1103 E 1st Street in Huntingburg beginning tomorrow, May 4 from 1:00-7:00 p.m.; Friday, May 5 from 1:00-7:00 p.m.; and Saturday, May 5 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Residents who will be using the dumpsters will be required to show a utility bill and drivers licences for proof of residency.

The following items will NOT be accepted: items containing Freon, such as refrigerators; dehumidifiers; air conditioners and freezers, televisions, food, and tires.  This service is for debris related to the weekend rain event only.

If they have not already done so, residents will be asked to fill out a Dubois County Disaster Initial Intake/Assessment form when dropping off their items. The dumpsters are made available to Huntingburg residents by Catholic Charities and Velpen Disposal.
