Leadership Spencer County hosted their Community Resource Fair for all of Spencer County Friday, May 5th. It was held at Chrisney 4-H Community Center with the purpose of bringing resource awareness to area residents.
Mark Wahl of National Office Furniture and a member of the 2017 leadership class along with fellow class member and Director of the Spencer County Library, Sherri Risse shared some of the activities from Friday’s event

There were 37 booths with information regarding community businesses, perspective employment opportunity’s and organizations that provide public awareness programs. Wahl highlighted the purpose of the event and who will be there to present their organizations information.

The Tri-State Food Bank gave out bags of groceries to families that could use some help and the Spencer County Public Library gave books to families.

Among those there were Santa Claus Museum and Village, WorkOne, the Lincoln Hills Development Corporation, Lincoln Pioneer Village and Museum, Lincoln Heritage Public Library, to which the Director in Training, Rae Kippenbrock, explains how the library helps and pushes kids to read over the summer.
