Local authorities and emergency personnel were on the scene earlier this afternoon of what is said to have been an accident in rural Dubois County involving a farm tractor that resulted in a fatality.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says the accident took place sometime after 12:30 pm in a field along Schnellville Road across from the U.B. Klem Furniture plant east of Jasper.
The sheriff’s department did confirm that one person was killed in the incident.
Sheriff’s deputies along with Celestine First Responders and Memorial Hospital EMS were called to the scene as well as the Dubois County Coroner’s Office.
No other details have been released at this time.
