Although the 39th annual Jasper Strassenfest does not get into full swing until Thursday night, the first event of this year’s fest took place with the crowning of of the Little Miss, Mister, Junior Miss and Miss Strassentfest.
Kara Skorge was crowned as this year’s Miss Strassenfest during the pageant that took place Saturday at the Redemption Christian Church.
1st runner up was Kelsey Graman. Madelyn Keller was 2nd runner up.
Miss Photogenic was Chloe Berger and Miss Congeniality was Hannah Ryberg.
The title of Junior Miss Strassenfest went to Karis Wigand
1st runner up for Junior Miss was Delany Smith
Junior Miss Photogenic and 2nd Runner up was Hannah Seifert.
Junior Miss Congeniality was Emily Schaefer
Audrey Hoffman was the Little Miss Strassenfest while the 2017 Little Mr Strassenfest was Charlie Seifert.
Scholarships were awarded to the Miss Strassenfest and 1st runner-up in the amounts of $1,000 and $500, respectively.

The 2017 Jasper Strassenfest begins this Thursday and will run though Sunday.
