A Kentucky woman was taken into custody over the weekend after she was said to have attempted a theft from the Jasper Walmart store.
Just before 10:30 Saturday night officers with the Jasper Police Department responded to the Northside supercenter in reference to a female shoplifter.
When they arrived police found that Walmart Asset Protection had 38-year old Shannon Napier of Kentucky detained to be taken into police.
No word on what was exactly taken or any dollar amount.
Napier was charged with theft and was booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
