Karen A. Bieker, age 53, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, formerly of St. Anthony, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at home.

Karen was born in Jasper, Indiana, on November 12, 1963, to Oscar Jr. and Mary Jane (Moeller) Bieker.

She was a 1982 graduate of Forest Park High School.

She was an Assistant Manager at Wal-Mart where she had worked for over 10 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Surviving, mother, Mary Jane Bieker, Ferdinand, IN, one sister, Kate Gasaway (Art), Ferdinand, IN, three brothers, Kevin Bieker (Jill) Huntingburg, IN, Kent Bieker (Leslie), Huntingburg, IN, Kurt Bieker (Amy) St. Anthony, IN, aunts uncles, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her father, Oscar Bieker Jr., and one nephew Jeremy Gasaway.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with, burial to follow in the church cemetery.

A Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Friday.

Memorial contributions made to St. Anthony Catholic Church or to Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
