Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based, positive youth development program that inspires 3rd through 5th grade girls to recognize their limitless potential and boldly pursue their dreams.

The 10-week Girls on the Run program, which is led by volunteer coaches, focuses on helping girls develop key life skills, such as cultivating confidence, responding to oneself and others with care and creating positive connections.

The teams also learn the value of giving back to their community through a service project. Each season culminates with a 5k event that celebrates girls’ growth during the season.

Nationwide, Girls on the Run has 220 councils in 50 states and the District of Columbia and has served over 1 million girls since 1996.

Girls on the Run – Serving Dubois County has finished three seasons and inspired 370 girls in the Dubois County area. With the help of the Board of Directors and volunteers, the program continues to grow and reach more girls each year.
