Joyce Mae Sendelweck Pride, age 97, Otwell, Indiana, passed away at 10:10 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at the Paoli Health & Living Community in Paoli, Indiana.

She was born in Pike County, Indiana on February 27, 1921 to Spencer and Rosa (Fox) Russell.  She married Henry Sendelweck on December 23, 1938 and he preceded her in death on October 27, 1996.  She had a second marriage to Maurice Pride, he passed away in 2004.

Joyce was a member of the United Methodist Church in Otwell, Indiana.

She worked in manufacturing her adult life including making fighter planes used by our country in WWII.

Surviving are two sons,

Jerald (Linda), Sendelweck, Georgetown, IN

Michael (Vivian) Sendelweck, Lafayette, CO

Grandchildren; Sarah (Dan) Alexander; Steven Sendelweck; Kurt (Sarah) Sendelweck; Bryan (Myra) Sendelweck. Also six great grandchildren.

One sister, Oleva Uppencamp, Petersburg, IN

Two Brothers, Roger (Suzy) Russell, Magnolia, TX and Lindy Russell, Terre Haute, IN.

Also preceding her in death is one Sister, Opal Rohrscheib and five brothers, Noel Russell, Harold Russell, Loyal Russell, Edwin Russell and Delmas Russell.  One half- sister, Diane Foster.

Funeral services for Joyce Sendelweck will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, (June 6, 2018) at Otwell United Methodist Church in Otwell, Indiana.  The Rev. Jeff Pinney will officiate.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday (June 5, 2018) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one before services at church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Otwell United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
