32-year-old Michael Howard of Jasper was arrested early Sunday morning and is facing a charge of intimidation and interference with reporting a crime after police investigated a hang up 9-1-1 call.

Police responded to a 1300 Dewey Street apartment just after 2 a.m. Sunday after they received a hang up 9-1-1 call from that residence. Police learned that Howard had threatened a female victim with rape and when the female attempted to call police he allegedly took the phone from her.

Howard was arrested and is facing one level 6 felony count of intimidation and one class a misdemeanor charge of interference with reporting a crime. He is being held at the Dubois County Security Center.
