Lyle N. Schaus, age 63 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at I.U. Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Lyle was born in Spencer County, Indiana on August 5, 1955 to Warren A. and Wanda G. (Darden) Schaus.  He married Brenda L. (Parker) Breitwieser on October 15, 1994 in Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper, IN.

Lyle was a Logistics Coordinator for Kimball International for 40 years.

He was a member of the Jasper Optimist Club.

He was his family’s leader and role model, and his priority in life was spending time with his family, friends, and helping others.  He enjoyed collecting antiques, going to auctions, spending time in the outdoors, and enjoyed music.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda Schaus of Jasper, two daughters, Angie Altstadt (Alan), Evansville, Nicki Breitwieser, Evansville, three granddaughters, Britnee Altstadt, Kaitlin Altstadt, and Molly Brothers, two brothers, Todd Schaus (Pam), Evansville and Paul Schaus (Staci), Evanston, IN, nieces and nephew.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services for Lyle N.  Schaus will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, IN.  Pastor Chip Jahn will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center a favorite charity
