Viking Country was surprised again as Barr-Reeve Superintendent Travis Madison has decided to withdraw his resignation from the school corporation and stay on as Superintendent.

Though he never officially gave a formal resignation, he did notify the school verbally of his intent to move on to Richland-Bean Blossom School Corporation in Monroe County about one month ago.

Madison said Thursday that he has developed great relationships at Barr Reeve in the past 16 plus years and that he wants to keep those intact as well as continue moving forward with what has been built so far in the district.

Madison said he is very thankful for the support he has received from both the Barr-Reeve School board as well as the local community. Madison notified Richland-Bean Blossom this week of his decision to remain at Barr Reeve.
