A crash involving a semi truck took the life of a Holland woman yesterday.

Yesterday afternoon, Indiana State Troopers Adam McBeth, Kurtis Blunk, & Nathan Kern investigated a fatal vehicle crash that occurred on State Road 161 near Holland.

86-year old Mary Buse of Holland was traveling south on State Road 161 when she crossed into the path of a northbound semi, driven by 54-year old Robert Lifford of Switzerland City, as she attempted to merge eastbound onto County Road 1200 South, resulting in the crash.

Buse was pronounced deceased by the Dubois County Coroners Office.

Drugs & Alcohol are not believed to be a factor.

All family notifications have been made.

The Indiana State Police was assisted by the Dubois County Sheriffs Department
