A semi hit a light pole yesterday, knocking out power to nearby residents for a little while.

The crash briefly closed Indiana Highway 164 East, approximately 2 miles east of the bowling alley towards Celestine.

Ralph Mehling and his wife, Freida, were sitting in their family room when the crash occurred.

Power has been restored to the area and the road is open.
