The contestants for both the 2019 Dubois County 4-H Fair Queen and Teen Queen have been announced.

The Queen Contestants are:

Sydney Bachman: Daughter of Keith and Dana Bachman of Jasper. The Jasper High School graduate plans to attend the University of Evansville in the fall majoring in Public Health to become a Physician’s Assistant. Her sponsor is the Jasper Kiwanis Club.

Bailey Barrett: Daughter of Scott and Carla Barrett of Huntingburg. The Southridge High School graduate is attending the University of Southern Indiana and is majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Math to become an Elementary Education Teacher. She is sponsored by her family.

Jaclyn Haug: Daughter of Al and Tammy Haug of Ferdinand. She’s starting her senior year at Forest Park High School this fall. After graduation, she plans to pursue a degree in the Medical or Geriatrics field. Jaclyn is sponsored by Haug Family Farm.

Shelby Livingston: Daughter of Jan and Adam Livingston of Jasper. She’s starting her senior year at Northeast Dubois High School this fall. After graduating, she wants to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy and a minor in Spanish. She is sponsored by her parents.

Lauren Lubbehusen: Daughter of Ron and Dana Lubbehusen of Huntingburg. The Forest Park High School graduate attends the University of Southern Indiana for nursing. Lauren is sponsored by Dana Lubbehusen.

Hannah Mehringer: Daughter of Larry and Tamra Mehringer of Jasper. The Northeast Dubois High School graduate attends Purdue University for Agricultural Education. She is sponsored by River View Feed and Supplies.

Emily Nord: Daughter of Bruce and Brenda Nord of Ferdinand. She was studying at VUJC and is transferring to the University of Southern Indiana in the fall. Emily is studying Health Sciences and hopes to work in the Hospice field after graduation. Her sponsors are The Shop on 13th, Carpet Warehouse, and Berg’s Garage.

Sydney Peters: Daughter of David and Sabrina Peters of Jasper. The Jasper High School graduate will attend Purdue University in the fall to study Animal Science/Pre-Vet. Sydney is sponsored by the Lucky Shamrocks 4-H Club.

Hailey Thayer: Daughter of Douglas and Janice Thayer of Birdseye. The Forest Park High School graduate attends the University of Evansville for Biology Education. Hailey is sponsored by Harmon Family Chiropractic.

Amber Theising: Daughter of Bernie and Angie Theising of Schnellville. She will be starting her senior year at Forest Park High School This fall. Amber is sponsored by the Schnellville Home Ec Club, Conservation Club, and Community Club. She serves as Treasurer of her 4-H club and the FFA.

The Teen Queen contestants are:

Cambria Brown: Daughter of Jesse and Kari Brown and Stephanie Kemp of Jasper.  She will be attending Jasper High School next school year.  Officer of the Young Achievers 4-H Club and the Dubois County 4-H Junior Leaders, her sponsor for the contest.

Abby Hauser: Daughter of Jason and Emily Hauser of Huntingburg.  Hauser will be a senior at Forest Park High School.  She plans to pursue a degree in biochemistry at either Vanderbilt University or St. Louis University.  She is sponsored by her parents.

Katelynn Stemle: Daughter of Todd and Jennifer Stemle of Jasper.  The Jasper High School junior plans to pursue a degree in pharmaceutical sciences at Purdue University following graduation.  Stemle is sponsored by the Lucky Irish 4-H Club.

Festivities will commence at 3:00 P.M. at the Jasper High School auditorium.  Admission is $5.
