A Jasper man is facing an intoxication charge after being found passed out behind the wheel.

Around 2:50 this morning, police were dispatched to a reported of a man unconscious in his vehicle.

When arriving on the scene, police found 28-year-old Logan Kern passed out behind the wheel with the engine still running.

Police could smell the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage while checking Kern’s condition.

Officers then conducted a breath test. Kern’s blood-alcohol-content measured at .176%.

Kern is lodged into the Dubois County Security Center, and charged with Operating While Intoxicated.
