A couple is displaced after a fire destroyed their mobile home.

Firefighters were called to the residence of Barbara and George Milford early Wednesday morning.

The couple was inside at the time and noticed a fire in a bedroom.

According to Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department Chief, Chris Young, the bedroom was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Chief Young says the Indiana State Fire Marshall’s Office is assisting.

The American Red Cross was called to help the couple.

No injuries were reported.
