A Gary man is facing drug charges after getting stopped for speeding on Sunday night.

Police say they pulled over 44-year-old Darrell Cannon for driving 95 miles per hour on US 41.

When a trooper noticed the smell of raw marijuana, they searched the car.

Police say they founded a loaded handgun and marijuana.

Cannon was booked into the Knox County Jail with no bond and faces charges of possession of a handgun and possession of marijuana.
