The Sisters of St. Benedict, Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand are hosting a FREE concert from the Indiana University African American Choral Ensemble.

Directed by renowned composer, conductor, lecturer, and teacher Dr.Raymond Wise, the Choral Ensemble features a broad repertoire of spirituals, folk forms, traditional, and contemporary gospel music.

They will also perform formally composed works by African American composers. This is the 10th annual concert of the Sisters of St. Benedict’s Mechtilde of Hackeborn Sacred Music Series. The concert at Monastery Immaculate Conception begins at 2 p.m. EDT on Sunday, September 22. For more information, visit www.thedome.org/events.
