A saturation patrol led to several arrests over the weekend.

Vincennes Police, Knox County Sheriff’s Department, and ISP teamed up to take dangerous and impaired drivers off the road in the Vincennes Area.

Within a 5 hour span Sunday evening, officers issued 39 traffic tickets, 99 warnings, and arrested five people on various criminal charges.

One person taken into custody was 27-year-old Juan Camarillo of Vincennes

Originally, he was stopped for a license plate violation. After giving police false information about his identity, a K-9 was called to the scene.

During the search, officers found meth and a used syringe.

Camarillo was book into the Knox County Jail and held on bond. He faces the following charges: Possession of meth and a syringe, identity deception, and driving while suspended.
