Melisa Estrella Calvillo, age 16, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 7:55 a.m., on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at her residence from a prolonged illness.
She was born June 25, 2003, in Mexia, Texas. Melisa attended Southridge High School and loved to draw.
She is survived by her parents, Julia Rangel Calvillo and Jesus Mejia Franco of Huntingburg; and three siblings, Julie Angel (spouse, Franci Belindo Gutierrez) Calvillo of Huntingburg, Juan Pablo Mejia and Nayeli Albertina Calvillo both at home.
Funeral services for Melisa Calvillo will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Homero Rodriguez.
