Sometimes firefighters get calls of cats in trees, kids stuck in the staircase, and other fun calls. The Schnellville Fire Department had a unique call yesterday for a bucket on fire. Not a bucket truck. Just a bucket.

Valarie Lange came home around 9 pm last night. And when opening her garage door, she noticed a glow and smoke coming from inside. So Lange closed the garage and called 911.

10 firefighters and one truck from the Schnellville Fire Department followed by 6 firefighters from the St. Anthony Fire Department arrived within minutes.

When at the scene, firefighters learned that a 5-gallon bucket started burning.

Firefighters say about 10 instant cold packs were found inside the bucket, along with unknown foil packaged products at the bottom.

It is believed that the instant cold packs and the unknown foil leaked and mixed together and caused a chemical reaction, causing the fire.

The only damage was to nearby walls and to the bucket itself.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, moved the bucket outside, and ventilated the garage.
