A Jasper man was arrested early yesterday morning on charges of Public Intoxication.

Sunday morning, just after 2:30 am, members of the Jasper Police Department were dispatched to the 400 block of Giesler Road in reference to an intoxicated male in the area knocking on doors and stumbling in the roadway.

The male was located in the driveway of a residence in the 400 block of Giesler Road asleep halfway under a parked vehicle. The male was identified as 26-year-old Zachary Hoppenjans of Jasper and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Hoppenjans was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the Dubois County Security Center.
