The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate an individual on the run.

On Friday, October 4, 2019, at approximately 6:05 AM, Martin County Sheriff’s Office was advised by Martin County Community Corrections of a GPS Tracking Device tamper alarm for the ankle monitor of James “Mike” Hert. Martin County Deputy Seymour arrived at Mr. Hert’s residence, in the town of Shoals, a short time later to investigate and discovered Mr. Hert’s ankle monitor located in the yard and no one at the residence. Mr. Hert is currently on Community Corrections for methamphetamine charges.

James “Mike” Hert is a 56-year-old white male, brown hair, green eyes, 6 ft. and 170 pounds. We currently are unaware of clothing, vehicle description or traveling status. This is currently under investigation by Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
